Weekend Review/ Dubinsky Signs

The Rangers looked like they were going to defeat the Red Wings on home ice Friday night until Matt Zabba had a melt down in the third period (helped along largely by the terrible play of Rosival and Redden) Artem Anisimov began his impressive weekend with a goal through traffic to get the Rangers going in the 1st period.

Saturday afternoon the Rangers set the tone early at Boston and never looked back. Anisimov scored a highlight reel short handed goal which more than likely earned him a roster spot on the Rangers this year. Gilroy played as did Del Zotto, both looked very comfortable as if they had done this 100 times before.

During Saturday’s game it was announced that the Rangers had agreed to terms with Brandon Dubinsky. No money was discussed, I would expect the money exchanged to be some where along the lines of what was said in the Post Friday 1.15million for 1 year or 2.3 for 2 years.

  1. I think I read somewhere that dubi signed 2 years for 2.8

  2. About time he signed. No reason he shouldn’t have had a contract. Full blame on Sather for that one.
